Tis the season for travel!
Which means figuring out what to pack in order to look great without bringing your entire closet! Follow these easy tips for stress-free packing.

  1. Start by checking the weather. Look up the weather where you’ll be staying and review the highs/lows for the time period you will be there. Be certain to look at the exact zip code where you are traveling because temps can vary, especially on a coastline.
  1. Make a list of the events or special functions you will attend while you are there. This is where your packing begins. Choose outfits that will make you feel stylish and confident for each of your particular events. Lay each outfit on your bed. Don’t forget shoes and accessories!
  1. Determine how many additional outfits you will need during your stay. Next take a look at what you’ve already laid out and figure out how to make additional outfits with it. For example, the black velvet jacket you plan to wear to a show would look great with jeans and a simple tee for a more casual dinner. Add jeans, a tee, and a more casual shoe to what you’ve packed. Repeat this process to create enough outfits for your stay.
  1. Create a travel look book. Take a photograph on your phone of the outfits you plan to wear for easy reference once you’ve arrived. Simply scroll through your travel wardrobe on your phone and decide what to wear.
  1. Stay organized. The more organized you are the easier it is to get dressed. Using packing cubes can help you save space and ensures you know where everything is.
